Vinotheque

The vinotheque in the vaulted cellar offers an impressive selection of excellent wines. Take your time for wine and taste something out of the enormous selection available on the wine list.
If you have particularly enjoyed a wine, you will be able to purchase it from the shop in the wine cellar and take with you back home from your Ischgl vacation.

How everything started

With the construction of the wine cellar in 2000, the thought of wine bacame future-oriented. At that time, the wine list included 90 positions – today we can make recommendations to our guests from almost 1,000 positions. Finally, the idea was born to sell wines as private labels. However, right from the start there was a desire to have wines that are only available at the Hotel Post – that is, one-of-a-kind wines.

Sommelier

Our sommelier Thomas Weinig took 12th place at the Rolling Pin Award 2022 in the category “Best Sommelier Austria”!

As a sommelier, he knows how to recommend excellent wines from a whole range of exquisite delicacies to his guests. Thomas knows every position in the wine cellar, the handwriting of the winegrowers and the stories behind all good wines.

We also offer wine tastings on request, where our guests can experience the variety and quality of our exquisite wines for themselves.
