Your Hiking Backpack
What to Pack
A well-prepared hiking backpack is essential for a successful hike in the Paznaun Valley. Make sure you bring enough water as well as energy-rich snacks such as nuts or dried fruit. A detailed hiking map or GPS device is invaluable for keeping track of your route. Sun protection, including sunscreen and sunglasses, is particularly important in the mountains, while a first-aid kit allows you to treat minor injuries straight away. Always pack weatherproof clothing and rain protection, as mountain weather around Ischgl can change quickly. A small multitool can also come in handy, as can a fully charged mobile phone for emergencies. Finally, don’t forget a small rubbish bag to help keep the beautiful nature of the Paznaun Valley clean and protected.
